Handcrafted from porcelain clay, this work was created during my artist residency in Japan. The design comes from an antique stone cake mold used in the Edo era (1600–1800s) — a treasure I discovered in a quiet antique shop in Mikawachi, Nagasaki Prefecture.
Each curve carries a whisper of tradition, a bridge between centuries of Japanese craftsmanship and the emotions that inspire Kan.
